A Sofa Designed with Manhattan in Mind

What happens when you combine 12 designers + Italian craftsmanship + one weekend? You get an ideal sofa for Manhattan dwellers. It all began back in January, where 11 New York-based designers plus Italian designer Luca Nichetto, came together with the hope of crowd-crafting a sofa, along with Design-Apart and Berto. One of those designs from the workshop, called #sofa4manhattan, was produced in the Design-Apart showroom in NYC with the help of Italian master artisans and Filippo Berto, Berto’s Managing Director.

The chosen design was created by Valeria Moiseeva and Joe Graceffa, with Nichetto’s coordination. The result is a perfect sofa that reflects the habits of a New Yorker’s way of life
