Edouard Francois’ Tower Flower is an apartment building located in the 17th arrondissement of Paris. The exterior is covered with potted bamboo plants, making it look more like a stacked parking garage for foliage than an apartment complex.

The sustainability/eco factor here is huge, and I think that is what Edouard Francois’ goal was in creating this massive garden.

I bet there’s a lot of privacy with no need for window coverings, with the plants acting as shades to keep it nice and cool in the summertime.

I think the concept is better than the execution. The bamboo doesn’t look happy about it.
