Tree Fungus is a new shelf by Netherlands-based designer Floris Wubben, who is known for merging modern design with natural elements, in collaboration with with the artist Bauke Fokkema. Made with two halves of an already fallen pollard willow and connected by a parasite-like structure, the piece is half room divider and half giant sculpture.
Floris explains the design, “When you open a willow stem you will find a lot of fungi and moulds. The parasite-like structure is inspired on these fungi and moulds.”
