Editor’s Note: I’ve asked a few of my favorite bloggers to fill in while we make our way to Portland, OR! Please give them a warm, tail-wagging welcome!
Hello dog lovers! It’s Jan from Poppytalk! Being a new dog owner myself, I’m excited to bring some of my favorite handmade pet-themed products I’ve come across lately to Dog Milk! As I hadn’t had a dog since I was a child, I was quite surprised there was so much to learn when it came to dog things. From collars to dishes, we’ve been learning as we go, and who would know there would be so many choices? I’m loving the handmade items the best though, so when Capree asked if I would guest post here, I immediately hopped over to Etsy to find some faves. (I’ve added a couple of fun DIYs!) Let’s take a look shall we?
1. Dog Collar Leather Mexican Texil by Bo
I love these collars because they sort of remind me of friendship bracelets, and what better to bestow one of these upon, your best buddy!
2. Elevated Bowl Holder by modernmews
These modern designed elevated bowl holders have an Eames feel to them, and who knew wide shallow bowls reduces whisker stress? A modern bowl for a modern dog!
3. Pug Mug by Mugsleys
C’mon, even if you don’t have a pug, you have to have a pug mug!
4. Natural Antler Dog Chew Treats by roscosantlerdesign
Having tried many long lasting chews from kongs to some other rather scary items I’d rather not bring into the house, antler dog chews are a nice alternative. Perfect for some no-worry munching.
5. Stealth Personalized Nylon Dog Collar by LaserPets
I like the idea of these personalized collars, with the identification is built into the collar so there are no hanging tags to make noise or to catch on anything. Clever – and such great colors!
6. Custom Pet Portrait Pendant by Bell Station
Bring your dog everywhere (even if he can’t come to work in real) with these cute custom pet portrait pendants!
7. Leather Dog Poop Bag Dispenser by HanaAzuki
A nice accessory that you know will last for a very long time and will get only better as it ages.
8. DIY | Dot-Painted Pet Bowls by Martha Stewart
A cute project to make for that special pup in your life!
9. Custom Pet Portrait by BellStation
A cute idea to give someone as a gift. A pet portrait in a tasteful painterly style.
10. Custom pet stamp by HappySin
I would be stamping everything if I had this – so adorable!
11. Custom Handmade Leather Collar by GarosGoods
A nice thicker collar that will also last a long time. Love the different colors of leather too.
12. DIY Pet ID Tag by Martha Stewart
Download the template to make these customized ID tags for your pet with easy-to-find materials.
13. One of a Kind Pet Luxury Bed by Kavante
For the king of the castle. How could I not mention this one-of-a-kind luxury bed piece.
14. The Skipper Blue Dog Peacoat by TheRoverBoutique
And finally – I’ve been loving this peacoat long before we ever had a dog, so this is a must-have for the fall for our pup!
