30.0: A Fused Glass Sculpture by Omer Arbel

Artist and designer Omer Arbel explores fused glass in these painstakingly assembled, flat, rectangular sculptures named 30.0. A frame holds copious amounts of glass rods vertically, which are then exposed to rising high temperatures for extended periods of time. Through this environment, the circular glass rods fuse into these multifaceted, crystalline configurations. The results are these mesmerizing candy-like panels with varying hues and opacities.
