After we lost Lulu, we didn’t know if we were ever going to get a new dog. How do you replace a family member? It’s impossible. But the house was quiet—no barking when the doorbell rang, and it made me feel empty.
We discussed with the idea of getting a puppy vs. older dog, adopting from a shelter, etc. but then… it just… happened. We saw Chicken and we knew she was the one. Yes, her name is Chicken.
She’s a feisty yet cuddly Boston Terrier—the only puppy in her litter. She is the perfect size for our young daughter to play with, walk, and take care of.
So far, we’ve discovered that she loves belly rubs, taking long naps, picking up sticks and stones, and playing tug-of-war.
While nothing can ever replace our beloved Lubonzo, we are so thrilled that Chicken has become a part of our family and the Dog Milk pack :)
