Brooklyn-based designer Christina Megill has created a modern dog bed with a heartfelt mission: for every DEN bed purchased, one is donated to a rescue dog. Handcrafted entirely in the USA, DEN’s “Do Good Dog Beds” are made from durable denim and are designed to tell a story as they wear over time.
Christina explains:
Being without a home is a stressful time for dogs. These rescues are often transported across state lines and transfer hands many times before they find their adoptive family. Providing a familiar object, a bed to call their very own, is one way to ease their anxiety. A bed can provide a rescue dog with an object of comfort and security that carries their scent throughout their unique journey, their own “den”.
Currently, DEN is running a Kickstarter campaign to help get this idea off the ground. Check out more details and information there and consider pledging to this brilliant and deserving project!
