A Modular, Tongue-Inspired Wine Bottle Holder by Mario Alessiani

Italian product designer Mario Alessiani has designed a modular bottle rack to display your wine collection, whether it’s one bottle or many. Named Tongue, the wall-mounted design takes its name from the simple shape, which resembles a curled up tongue.

A steel plate is folded up to create a resting spot for a single bottle. Multiple components can be arranged vertically, horizontally, or randomly to hold a larger collection.

Tongue comes in anthracite and wine red and it’s available on Hiro, a platform that sells work from independent designers.
