An Apartment in Moscow by Oleg Klodt

Oleg Klodt designed this elegant apartment in Moscow on Mosfilmovskaya Street for a couple with one child. The couple wanted the apartment divided into three areas – the master bedroom (bedroom, bathroom, dressing room, and study), the children’s room (bedroom and bathroom), and a large open space to house the living room and kitchen. Besides the layout requirements, they wanted the space to be calm and classic.

Shades of purple and blue are layered around the space through fabrics of various textures and sheens.

White walls were paired with dark oak floors in various widths to give them an aged feel. Lamps in unusual shapes break up the white ceiling and help define the different spaces.

The sleek kitchen hides away all of its functions behind white cabinets. The large stone backdrop is the only decorative feature in the kitchen.
