BUILT Goes Tech

I fell in love with BUILT when I bought one of their Gourmet Getaway Lunch Totes a few years ago. The neoprene that they use for their products is soft but holds up very well, providing protection and insulation. It also expands nicely to accommodate the extra snacks I was always forcing into my lunch bag. They’ve launched a few new patterns and products for 2011, some of which tickle my design fancy.

The City Grid pattern is my favorite, it’s a simple black and white hatch with a touch of orange. The other new pattern that I’m fancying is called Summer Bloom — a black and white graphic floral with a pop of yellow (pictured above on the Gourmet Getaway and One Bottle Tote).

BUILT sent me a water bottle holder to test out in City Grid. It is insulating, comes in three sizes, and launches in April. Besides the cool pattern, I love that it protected my hands from the cold water bottle and the handle clips to the side for easy drinking.

The Soft Shell Camera Case (pictured in City Grid) stretches to accommodate a range of point-and-shoot cameras. It also has an interior pocket for your memory card or charger.

The Neoprene Envelope for iPad (pictured in City Grid) is a form-fitting neoprene sleeve with an interior pocket for keys or phone. It has a soft inner lining for added protection against scratches.
