CHAYR: A Cozy Seat Made From Hay and Grass

Using both hay and grass, Henry&Co designed CHAYR, a cozy seat that merges the two materials that are products from both the earth and man. Hay bales are often used as resting places for farmers and grass offers a warm, soft spot to sit on a nice day, and now they’re combined into a new form for a seat. The new uses for the natural materials can remind the sitter of nature and natural well being.

The seat is made from Ekolithos, a material produced from renewable resources that’s made from hay and grass, while the legs are untreated beech wood.
