Design Museum has launched their first design app, Crouwelclock, a beautifully animated graphic alarm clock inspired by the graphics of Dutch designer Wim Crouwel.
Wim Crouwel has recorded three personal messages that play out as alarms, wishing you “a nice and well designed day,” reminding you to “keep your grid straight today,” and finally “a grid today keeps the doctor away.” This unique app was commissioned by the Design Museum to celebrate Wim Crouwel: A Graphic Odyssey, Wim Crouwel’s first UK retrospective exhibition at the Design Museum, which runs through July 3, 2011.
