Distrito Capital Hotel

Distrito Capital is a newish hotel in the Santa Fe neighborhood and business district of Mexico City, Mexico. With interiors that bring you back to the 1960s, the vintage dĂ©cor and ambiance makes for a chic and stylish business destination. The building was created by Diametro Arquitectos with interiors by Joseph Dirand and offers the best of both worlds — retro and now.

Once you enter the reception area, you’re immediately greeted with a vintage feel, like stepping onto the set of Mad Men. The place is littered with Eero Saarinen tables, Wim Rietveld chairs and Verner Panton lamps. The main lobby features some current pieces including an installation by Thomas Glassford.

The hotel also has a great restaurant with a menu created by chef Enrique Olvera, an open space fifth floor terrace with a calming 43-foot pool with sun loungers, a stimulant bar Ă  la Palm Springs, and panoramic views of Mexico.

The conference room includes a telephone, work table, TV, screen, projector, free Wi-Fi internet, AC and private terrace — all the necessities for hosting a productive business meeting. Just bring your iPad ;)

Other amenities include a BMW House Car (!!!), air conditioning, rain showers, minibar, message center, Acqua di Parma bath amenities, TV, DVD player, safe, and an iPod dock station.

There are 17 rooms and 13 suites, and suites come with an additional living room, bath tub and even a kitchenette and private gym in the most expensive suite.

The hotel offers dry cleaning and laundry services, faxing, free Wi-Fi, a business center, recreational tours, valet parking, security and 24-hour room service.
