Drill: Lamps Made of Volcanic Stone

LeviSarha, a collaboration between Belgian designers Levi Dethier and Sarha Duquesne, designed a lamp made from a plentiful material found in their country – basalt. Basalt is a volcanic stone found in the southeast of Belgium and the pair used core drills to extract cylinders out of blocks of it. The cylinders were then assembled into minimalist lamps called Drill.
