Located in Mt. Washington, the Rome Residence by FUNG + BLATT Architects, Inc. is an L-shaped home that focuses on indoor/outdoor living space.
Together with its carport and connecting retaining walls, it forms an S around two informal courts. A cantilevered deck offers city views and the family area also opens up to its own viewing deck. The three-story interior staircase has a unique architecture of its own.

I was unable to attend Dwell on Design this year, but luckily DoD offered to capture some of the homes on the tour exclusively for Design Milk. See all of this year’s exclusive 2011 Dwell on Design house tours here.
