Flying Tables are a set of coffee tables by Mario Tsai where one suspends a plate on its cubic frame and the other looks as if it’s tipping over, thereby presenting the appearance that time has halted. At first glance, one would think that a piece of glass is holding up the plates instead of them being suspended with a hidden cross underneath. The results are a illusion that creates a strong visual impact.
