Form + Function with Cleverhood (Win a Modern Rain Cape!)

The following post is brought to you by Cleverhood. Our partners are hand-picked by the Design Milk team because they represent the best in design.

Embrace the rain! Cleverhood is a modern, high-performance rain cape for city cyclers and explorers from Providence, Rhode Island. Built to withstand the wet, windy weather of the Northeast, Cleverhood is constructed using heavy-duty zippers, strong water-repellant material and seams, and yet it’s lightweight and breathable. The fitted hood has a brim, too, so your face stays nice and dry. It has reflective piping and elastic thumb loops to keep the ‘hood secure when biking. Slip your important stuff – like cellphones or wallets – into the handy zippered chest pocket. Built for performance with style.

Form + Function
Life has it challenges. Who doesn’t appreciate things built for performance? When you see some sort of tool well designed for a specific task, it makes you a little happy. It may be an elegant bottle opener, a toaster, or a powerful red harbor tug. You know it when you see it (or not). It’s all around us.

Put that camera in your pocket to good use. Snap a shot of something you see that does a nice job of blending form and function. It may be simple (beautiful bike), big (like a skyscraper) or just clever.

Ways to enter: Tweet your pic to @Cleverhoods with hashtag #FormFunction. Or you can pin an image to Pinterest and comment on this post with the link to your pin.

Judges will award two Cleverhoods ($240 value each) to two separate individuals based on originality. Runner-up gets a Cleverhood T-shirt ($15 value). Open to all Design Milk readers (including international aficionados!).
