Four Novelties for Sculptural Design Lovers

It’s incredible when you can take advantage of a single success by carrying it into your next project. In the case of Berlin-based design brand Bannach, they’re following up the UNO table collection with Four Novelties. Each of the pieces – yes, there are four – are part design, part architecture, and part art that relate to one another through their geometric structures and an overarching sculptural design language.

Agatha

Agatha is a console designed by Julius Heinzl that features a flowing form that has a presence. Measuring in at 140 cm, it’s a well-proportioned surface that might serve any number of purposes: display table, object, etc. It’s playful and fun while also being a bold design element. The Agatha console is available in solid oak and lacquered MDF in various pastel shades.

Arco

A simple design that’s all sharp angles, Arco is a modern coffee table created by Moritz Bannach. Sculptural in effect, the available color combinations only serve to make it more eye-catching. Arco is available in lacquered MDF in various colors or in selected real wood veneers (in natural or in Ettore Sottsass’ red and orange) as well as in the checkered laminate by Sottsass.

Ciro

If versatility is the name of the game, Ciro is the stool for you. Made of oiled solid wood using purist geometry, the piece is reduced to materiality and handcrafted construction. The seating surface is made of Viennese netting that softens the rectilinear design. Ciro is available in oak, black stained oak, walnut, and Douglas fir.

Etta

A functional glass object, Etta is a handblown vase designed by Julius Heinzl. Three basic components make up the piece: a cone or round shaped base supports the structure that’s topped off with a cylindrical element that serves as the vase vessel. More sizable that you might expect, Etta can be used as both a table and floor vase. It’s available in crystal, steel gray, pale pink, pale green, and sapphire blue.
