If these patterns look familiar, it’s because we checked them out a few months ago when GAN released the handcrafted Parquet kilim rug collection designed by Swedish design studio Front. The collaboration between the two continues in 2018 to include a trio of Parquet poufs featuring the same geometric patterns as the rugs: Tetragon, Rhomb, and Hexagon.
The colorful, puzzle-like patterns translate perfectly to the poufs, which each feature a unique shape that works with each design. The graphic patterns were inspired by old parquet floors that were translated by experienced weavers using the traditional kilim weaving technique. Both the rugs and the new poufs will debut at IMM Cologne later this month.
