The controversial plastic bag has been a source of contention for years as they’re responsible for producing an enormous amount of pollution, from the greenhouse gas emissions to them ending up unused in landfills. We are guilty of not always bringing our own bags to the store, and have accumulated plastic ones over time. With hopes of helping extend their lifetime, the Swiss duo behind SUPERLIFE created a wall shelf named Glouton to contain your plastic bags making it easier to reuse them if they’re within reach.
The shelf’s opening is concealed by elastic fabric bands that disguise the bags for everyday life until you need one. The bands allow you to easily pull a bag out or add your extra bags when you collect them. There’s also a slot in the back that is designed to store paper bags.
