While I certainly enjoy the simple pleasures of life, and I proudly embrace my rural Southern roots, I’m a modern girl at heart — and when it comes to design aesthetic, don’t you dare come at me with anything ruffly, folksy, or country. I’ve got to say, though, the minimalist in me is really digging these modern rustic dog feeders from Norman, Oklahoma’s Highland Design Co. Handmade and personalizable, they deftly toe the line between down-to-earth, functional elegance and “here is my child, wearing diapers I wove myself from hemp harvested from my urban homestead.” Feeders are handmade to order and feature porcelain and stainless steel bowls.
