The house by Thomas Bendel is made of prefab concrete and then built together on site. The use of glass is reserved for the front and the back of the house using aluminum as a frame material. The placement of this big windows takes the views and displays it as a big wallpaper. I would agree that the house needs a little bit more of decoration as it looks like a nuclear silo… maybe a wall or two in dark charcoal and bright yellow and you are done.

Like the modern clean shape and sweeping lines – but the concrete leaves me a little cold.
Perhaps some timber external cladding to add some organic warmth and tie in to the surrounding countryside ?

The inside is not bad. That view of the field is gorgeous.
You’re right about the outside though. It looks like a Cold War Soviet project.
