Higgins Would Be Proud: Apparel and Accessories for Dog Owners

What do you do when you want to impress your 10-year-old dog and make them (extra) happy to call you their human? Start a socially-conscious clothing company that not only honors their likeness, but gives back to other senior dogs as well as elderly dog owners! That’s just what Ben Egnal and Fang Yu did to celebrate Higgins, the sweetest old pug around, when they launched the Toronto-based apparel and accessories company Higgins Would Be Proud (HWBP for short).

HWBP offers stylish t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, and more — often bearing the likeness of Mr. Higgins himself — with 10% of all proceeds going to Elder Dog, a non-profit organization that provides care, companionship, and medical aid to older dogs as well as support and assistance to elderly dog owners. Sounds like a pretty great legacy-in-the-making, right?
