We don’t do traditional gift guides here on Design Milk because everyone does them; we like to be different. A few years back, we did staff wishlists and once again we thought it would be fun to continue this new tradition and ask each current contributor what was on their wishlist this holiday season. So, for the next two weeks we’re featuring staff wishlists — see them all here. Here are some items on David’s wishlist:
1. Widow Jane Bourbon Whiskey
I’m a bourbon guy, and if you can find it, this is my favorite.
2. Astier de Villatte White Conserve Vase
I love handling these ultra delicate can-inspired vases so much that I don’t even think I’d put a flower in one.
3. Brick from Project No. 8
I’m almost embarrassed that I want one of these so bad. A brick completely uncased in an angora sweater. I know – it’s amazing.
4. Tractor Stool by BassamFellows
I was sold the moment I sat in one of these. It makes sense – their inspiration (tractors) must be the most comfortable metal seats in the world.
5. COMMON PROJECTS Original Vintage High 1661
Clean lined and crazy comfortable – the ultimate cool for gallery hopping.

Love this wish list as a whole, but have never tried your bourbon recommendation. Is it hard to obtain? What is the best way to hunt it down?

@Drew Yes it is hard to obtain. I think they release limited quantities annually, so anyone who does carry it often runs out quickly. But the unexpected discovery of it on a shelf is part of the fun. I do see it around. A couple weeks ago I saw it in Brooklyn at a place called Red White & Bubbly. The Widow Jane website also lists some online retailers. http://widowjane.com/vendors/
