Innovative Sensory Kids’ Furniture from Tink Things

Tink Things is an innovative children’s line launching its latest – sensory kids’ furniture. Every mind isn’t made the same, and Tink Things has taken the time to consider the different ways children interact with their environment as the starting point for creating more attuned furniture that’s also more inclusive by design. The new additions – Ika and Mia chairs – aid in emotional regulation, concentration, and memory skills.

Both designs are fun, while doing their part to help with sensory issues. The Mia seat offers kids a “hug” with mild deep-pressure soothing that helps to boost serotonin levels and lower stress. The chair’s design also offers a built-in “hoodie” that can be pulled up to create a sort of cocoon of comfort or alone time.

The Ika is a swing chair that features a non-fixed seat, allowing the occupant to move about in rocking and bouncing motions that have been proven to calm and help with concentration. It also allows for a bit of play when necessary in the midst of all of that focus and stress.
