Jeanette Fintz’s Abstract Paintings

For this week’s CMYLK we turn to Brooklyn-born artist Jeanette Fintz. Fintz, who currently resides in the Hudson Valley and is represented by Kenise Barnes Fine Art, earned her MFA at Boston University. In her artist’s statement she says, “Using a working method akin to jazz, I counterpoint systematically repeated elliptical shapes against gestural pours and drips and something unexpected emerges.” How could we resist creating Colourlovers palettes for these symphonic works?
