Jordan Baumgarten is an amazing emerging documentary photographer, whose work is focused the working class and socio-economic issues in the United States. His recent photographs of foreclosed homes in New Jersey pulls at my heart strings.
Of his work, Jordan says,
We are familiar with the media’s version of the [economic] crisis and have developed our own ideas about what that means for our families and ourselves. What I find to be remarkable is that people hardly understand the gravity and the scope of the situation despite the fact that it is happening daily in their own communities.
