Before interviewing any designers, Amy and I practiced by interviewing each other. We were never sure if that episode would ever make it to air, but we decided it might be fun for you to learn a little more about us. In this extra special episode, internally nicknamed “The First Pancake,” you’ll learn how the Design Milk brand came to be, how I grew up in furniture stores, and how I’m using art as therapy to work through issues of perfectionism. And Amy tells me why she decided to pursue furniture design, how she came to be a TV personality and how she got the childhood nickname “Schneider.” Amy and I also reveal the origin story of Clever and how they came up with the name.
