The Hashira Lighting Collection Balances Nordic + Japanese Styles

Audo (formerly MENU) has launched the Hashira lighting collection that takes a modern Nordic approach to traditional Japanese rice paper lanterns. In fact, it takes inspiration from visits to traditional Japanese Washi paper makers. Blending East and West aesthetics, the collection strikes a balance of proportion, simplicity and character. Hashira is made up of floor, table and pendant lamps – all designed for modern spaces. Norm Architects, who designed the collection, describes it as: “Spreading ambient light in a room, the Hashira Collection makes for purposeful lighting above a dining table, in a reception area or on a table in a hotel bedroom, bringing a sense of understated luxury and purpose to interior spaces.”
