Milk Stools by Ellen Thomas

Designer Ellen Thomas has completed two series of stools called Milk. They kind of remind me of the Milking Stools by UM Project that Brett of ModProducts featured in his Friday Five.

From the designer:

The milk series were a response to an investigation into value, looking at what makes something valuable, with a view to create furniture which embodies longevity. I created 3 pieces of contemporary furniture with imbued value. They have been made using Ash and each piece has been etched with a pattern detail on the underside, which pays homage to its humble roots as well as adding a touch of humour. The construction of the legs make reference to traditional craft techniques with a contemporary twist.
