Museum of Dog Opens in Massachusetts

Museum of Dog is the culmination of years of collecting and following a passion (loving dogs) by founder David York. The museum, which recently opened in North Adams, Massachusetts (right down the road from famed MASS MoCA), houses 8000 square feet worth of dog-related art and artifacts (including a handful of original Wegmans) and rotating exhibits of some dog-inspired artists from around the nation. (Our pal Jesse Friedin is the museum’s first visiting artist!) Visiting MASS MoCA is already a must-do-in-the-near-future thing for me, and I hear springtime in the Berkshires is amazing, so maybe it’s time to plan a trip? You can find out more at the museum’s website and Insta.

Katherine, who lives with her family in the mountains of North Carolina, curated her own dog blog for a couple of years before joining the Design Milk team. If she ever won the lottery, she’d most definitely spend it all on live music & airfare to New York City. Other interests include craft beer, banjos, books, & BBQ.
