I admit that I love triangles. They’re one of my favorite shapes and I’m instantly drawn to anything with three sides. I thought it would be fun to take a look at some album cover designs featuring my favorite pointy friend. Funny, but these three albums couldn’t be more different.
Keane – Perfect Symmetry
I am not a huge Keane fan, but they’ve managed to choose some really lovely album covers. The pictures of the band on the cover area actually life-size sculptures of the band members, made by Korean artist Osang Gwon. You can see the sculptures and read more about the process on Creative Review.
Pink Floyd – Dark Side Of The Moon
How could I leave this out? Not only is it iconic, but it’s a great design.
Perfume – Triangle (The title is actually a triangle, not the word)
Perfume is a Japanese 3-girl technopop group with lots of albums, but of course this one design in particular is super. Their music, however, is — well — you decide. [Images: Music Pixels]

Interesting cover for the recent We Are Wolves album. Triangles even feature in their music videos

The triangle isn’t on their album cover, but Alt-J is a band that’s all out on triangles. Alt-J is actually the keyboard shortcut for a triangle.
