Global Lighting is introducing a new collection of lighting from manufacturing company Karman, that has been designed by a diverse group of Italian designers. Furthermore, each piece is fabricated in Fossombrone, Italy.
The Domenica and Nando collections (featured photo), designed by Luca De Bona and Dario De Meo, were inspired by idyllic Sunday afternoons cruising around Italy in the back of a motor scooter. With burnished metal bases, the lights represent iconic Italian design.
Stefano Bizzarri and Claudio Cinti teamed up to create the Mek collection, where their gear-like shapes were inspired by the automobile engine.
Lastly, the collection also includes the Mono pendant, created by industrial design student Giovanna Colapristi at the Accademia di Belle Arti Cignaroli di Verona.
The Ginger lights are textured globes with a delicate frame. Designed by Edmondo Testaguzza, the lights are a reimagination of the crystalline jars of his childhood.
