If I had a dime for every time I had a random dime in my purse or at my desk…well, I would have a lot of dimes. I’m terrible at allocating them somewhere that I can easily access for future use though. Kitschy coin banks aren’t my thing design-wise and those electronic ones are kind of an eye sore. Thailand-based Studio Make Sense’s coin bank SORTSAGE, however, is another story.
SORTSAGE is a simple wooden box designed to easily sort coins using a slide. You just insert your coins into the slot and the coins slide into the appropriate port based on their size. To retrieve your money, simply unlock and slide the bottom plank to remove the outer shell of the coin box, where you’ll find four different blocks of stored coins. SORTSAGE is simple, beautifully hand-crafted, and (most importantly) effective.
