paq chair: The World’s Simplest Armchair

Dubbed “the world’s simplest armchair”, the paq chair also transforms into a temporary bed for your overnight houseguests. Unzip the zipper and the chair quickly becomes a floor mattress. Designed by Géza Csire (with the help of BBDM), the paq chair came about after moving into a new apartment and wanting to hide a messy bed. His idea – transform it into an armchair.

It’s made of a mattress, a changeable cover, and a cylindrical drum that not only forms the base of the chair, it hides the bedding when it’s in chair form. When using paq as a bed, the drum can be used as a bedside table. Smart, right?
