In a collaboration with Canadian charitable organization Veterinarians Without Borders, photographer Ernest Goh and the VWB team flew to Laos to bring much-needed rabies vaccines to the dogs and cats (and one monkey) of the area. They travelled to the rural villages outside the capital city of Vientiane, inviting residents to bring their animals to receive the vaccine free of charge, then pose for a complimentary portrait with their pets.
“The relationships between humans and animals has always fascinated me,” says Goh. “Seeing the animal-human interaction tells an interesting story behind their relationship; the ways they pose with each other are superb visual clues.”
