Emily Wettstein is a 25-year-old designer living in Brooklyn, NY who built this planter table as part of her application to grad school for architecture. The table is made from reclaimed walnut and steel with a removable planter that can hold a variety of plants, in this case wheat grass (very cat friendly!)
It measures 24″ high by 60″ long and is for sale along with similar pieces. You can contact Emily through her website.

Just keep the cat off the table in case it thinks it’s outside and decides to take a pee.

The only drawback to this wonderful looking table is that cats routinely vomit after eating grass.

This is beyond cool, it’s innovation at its finest. Consider all the possibilities of herbs and flowers you could plant!

A thing of beauty, without doubt.
Since this was posted a few years ago now: I’m curious Emily; what (if any) long-term affects on the wood have arisen, from it’s proximity to moist soil along the inner edge, versus the dry outer edges?
