I wanted to pass along some information about Emily Pilloton, the September winner of ideablob’s monthly contest for the best small business idea. Emily is the creator of Project H Design, a nonprofit organization that supports, creates and delivers humanitarian and life-improving product design solutions. Emily’s mission is to show how product design can be married to philanthropy to bring the benefits of product design to underserved communities in need.
Emily’s project is Design for Education, and its goal is to design a locally-produced math education toy at the Kutamba School in Uganda, where Emily taught, and then eventually distribute it in the developing world along with a U.S. retail version. You can read more about this specific project and how the ideablob money will be used by reading visiting projecthdesign.com.
