Smash: the King of Naps, the Sultan of Slumber, the President of R&R. This little SpacePig cares about two things: food and sleep. If he’s not sleeping, he’s eating. If he’s not eating, he’s sleeping. (And if he’s not doing either of those things, chances are he’s probably licking anything within a two foot radius of his face.) So, who better to test out one of Jax & Bones‘ lounge beds, right?!

Here at Dog Milk, we’re big fans of Jax & Bones; from their toys to their beds, their products are the perfect blend between stylish and functional. We have a few of their toys, which are a fave amongst the various four-legged guests that visit our home. And, while I’ve always loved their wide selection of bed styles and fabrics, I’ve never actually seen one of their beds in person! So, obviously we were super stoked to finally try one out.
Jax & Bones has about 8 different styles of bedding (see them all here), including a lounge bed which is what Smash said he wanted to try. This little fluff ball loves to curl up with a pillow under his head, so the lounge style was perfect for our resident Sleep Expert. It’s designed like a sofa, with bolstered sides and a removable center pillow, and is overstuffed with a hypoallergenic, environmentally-friendly fill called Sustainafill. You guys, this stuff seems to be super-powered! Daily use by dogs of all sizes (we have a rotating cast of dogs in our house) hasn’t made a dent in the “fluffiness” of this bed. It’s still as perfectly-firm-yet-soft-and-cozy as the day it arrived.
One of the things I’ve always loved about Jax & Bones beds is the incredible selection of fabric choices. It was definitely hard to pick, but ultimately we went with the Origami pattern in “Pear”. When the bed arrived, I have to admit that I was genuinely surprised at the fabric quality! This is super-thick, premium upholstery-grade fabric made to last, folks! Smash has been using this bed daily for a while now (plus a random assortment of guest dogs) and you can hardly tell it’s even been touched. So, A+ for quality and durability — plus extra credit points for being machine washable. Oh, and even more bonus points for being a ridiculously good looking bed!
I’m generally a believer in the idea that you “get what you pay for”, or at least that’s how things should be. And with Jax & Bones beds, that’s definitely the case! These bad boys are made to last — and look good while doing it. In short? If you’ve been eyeing a bed from Jax & Bones, DO IT. Get it. Like, right now. Your dog will thank you!
