I’m always excited to see what British designer Lee Broom has going on at the London Design Festival and this year, he doesn’t disappoint yet again. His collection, Salon, is a six-piece series of upholstery that feels glamorous and reminiscent of 1930s and 1940s fashion.
The Salon collection includes an armchair, dining chair, sofa, footstool, drum seat and cushions. Available in a refined palette of beiges, greys, blacks and whites, there is also a choice of wool, velvet and leather finishes. The hand-applied studs in faceted gold or gunmetal are kind of edgy and punk rock, but from afar, also evoke that feeling of a glitzy movie starlet from days past.
