Industrial design students from IED Milan, Riccardo Randi, Riccardo Trabattoni, and Dario Distefano designed an outdoor kitchen system for Italian manufacturer Schiffini as their thesis project. Satellite is made up of a core component with rolling satellite modules that let you easily communicate with your home’s interior.
The system allows various configurations based on what your needs might be that day or just in general when cooking outdoors. Each module is made of bent aluminum sheeting, which makes the product easy and cheap to produce and assemble.
This is the first prototype they made, which just shows one potential configuration. Module designs include: wood ovens, barbecues, gardening, and other cooking and outdoor activities. See renderings below to get an idea of what is possible.
