Hana Karim is a jewelry designer from Slovenia who designs jewelry that’s exaggerated and heavy. While at first this may seem counter-intuitive, Karim aims to manifest her jewelry as objects that are not merely embellishment. As a result, her collections consists of jewelry that’s not worn in the usual places.

Karim aims to bring jewelry back to what it was, when humans kept objects of great significance very close to their bodies. Instead of the modern practice of having meaningless, everyday objects close to our bodies, objects should have sacred relationship with the body.
