Mairead Murphy of Melbourne Australia-based Mäike Design Studio recently completed Studio Sisu, a shared workspace in Northcote.
Once an old warehouse, the now converted studio boasts a lot of natural light and retains the volume and rich texture of the original 1940’s red brick building. The space provides a number of shared and individual work spaces that encourage creative collaboration and support for both individuals and small businesses.
The first floor of the building houses a painting studio and a shared space to accommodate large-scale projects, creative workshops and even movie nights.
Um, yeah and it has a swing. So… there’s that…
The upper level office provides workstations, a number of different meeting and shared work areas, a kitchen and a library.
I’m pretty sure that if I lived near Melbourne, I’d want to work here, wouldn’t you?
