This stunning Stockholm apartment is the home of prop stylist Joanna Lavén and it’s filled with classic parquet flooring and period details that your average person might have trouble working with. Not Lavén. She and her partner designed the space using a combination of modern, mid-century, and traditional finds, the space is a warm and well-done place to call home.
Modern ceiling fixtures hang below traditional ceiling medallions showing that just because your home is from one decade it doesn’t mean you can’t bring in elements from other decades.
Original details remain throughout the house, like the crown moldings and floors.
The modernized kitchen mixes classic marble with upper wooden cabinets and beige lower cabinets. The details are kept simple.
