Furniture designer and artist Sylvan Fiss moved from Genoa, Italy to Los Angeles at a young age, and has received numerous awards. His influence is primarily the polyvalent goods of the colonial trade. There is such drama and opulence in his pieces, they really do remind me of Boca Do Lobo, except more traditional with an ethnic twist.
