A Table Made From a Square Sheet of Cut Metal

Using laser technology, the DUETTO table is made from just a 3mm thick square sheet of metal. Designed by Tim Kerp for Pianca, the metal gets either a square or circle cut from the center of it and that is the piece that becomes the tabletop. Once the shape is cut out, the rest of the metal is folded in half to form the base of the table. Talk about zero waste!

The top is welded to the base and the finished design is protected with epoxy paint in your choice of 20 colors and then a water-based varnish.
