Ditch that expensive, wasteful bottled water — the tap is where it’s at. Tapi by Australian company Dreamfarm turns your ordinary faucet into a fun drinking fountain without disturbing the normal flow of water. Simply press the bottom of Tapi to change the flow of water. I bet this would be a big hit with kids.

The tap may be where it’s at, but without a filter things go off kilter.

I currently have two: a Tweetie Bird, and Tom (from Tom & Jerry).

I’ve got an easier solution that works for every tap : use a glass. I really don’t get why Anglo-Saxons need to drink this way.
For those who needs that to wash their teeth -> use a glass or your hands. Very handy you can do it also everywhere…

I had the whale growing up too! What a blast from the past.

We had one of these in my house about ten years ago. The kids all loved it — convenient and fun to use, and when they turned the water up, it would squirt all down the hallway.
We didn’t have it for long.

I was going to say a glass does the same thing, though without the poorly hidden racist comment from like the 16th century. Really? Anglo-Saxons? I also don’t get what’s up with Visigoths and all those animal skins and bronze swords either.

I just bought one of these from the Matchbox stand at the Good Food and Wine Show in Brisbane yesterday! I love it! They only had the grey ones though. Brilliant Secret Santa present idea.

1. nice to have an adult solution to the squirty whale
2. your tap water is safe to drink
3. glasses break, have to be washed after use, can’t be used by multiple people, and some of us don’t have a bathroom counter wide enough for them ie: pedestal sink.

Just letting you know that I bought this (and another) product from these guys, and they’re both essentially horribly bad. This “water fountain” is one of greatest fails I’ve ever seen.

Have the makers of this product, or those who use it, considered that tap water actually isn’t safe to drink? It’s not only generally contaminated with added chlorine and other toxins, but also with added fluoride, which is correlated with osteosarcoma (bone cancer). It is also a “potent enzyme inhibitor” . It’s no longer added to the water of many European countries, but it is still nearly universal in the US. Fluoride intake is also associated with kidney problems .

They’re an Australian company Bob – tap water is totally safe to drink here, in fact most people frown on bottled water because of the amount of landfill it creates, not to mention the fact that the plastic bottles it comes in are full of BPA. I think this thing looks really cool and could never have come up with something like that myself, so good on them for having a go!

Wow thats a great invention! I seriously hate twisting my neck to try and get a sip from the tap in our bathroom (there is no place to keep a glass in our bathroom). Are these for sale in the UK?

They’ve just made a little demo video of it on Youtube. Ha ha! Awesome! – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9qOfaIyIrh0
