The Boule Lighting Series Taps a Game for Inspiration

Inspired by the popular game of boule often played in the South of France, German designer Sebastian Herkner has designed the boule lighting series for pulpo. You’ll notice elements of the game itself present in the design of these lamps – such as the ball, which in this case is two glass spheres, one inside the other, that make for a beautiful diffusion of light. The outer glass ball is hand blown and sits atop a porcelain base that’s been produced with manufacturer Rosenthal. The boule collection is available in three sizes – small, medium, and large – as both a table lamp and floor lamp to fit any number of spaces that need a little extra ambiance.
