The Droids On Roids Office Comes to Life in Wroclaw, Poland

Mode:lina™, a firm known for thinking outside the design box, are the responsible party behind the new offices of software company, Droids On Roids, in Wrocław, Poland. The 650 square meter offices reside in an historic townhouse in the city center and now feature icons through, as if one of their mobile apps came to life.

A black band runs along the top of the wall at the ceiling and acts as a life-sized status bar, much like on a smartphone. The icons represent the function of each space allowing employees and visitors to navigate around like you would on a home screen.

Lightning bolts and zig-zags are part of the company’s visual identity, therefore they’re prominently displayed throughout. Also, yellow is the main accent color, as it references their logo.

The company fosters close-knit relationships between its employees, even taking them on a month-long workcation to Bali in 2016! That said, it was important to create a space they could work, play, eat, and have after-hours events in. The playroom/kitchen acts as this space and it also features the requisite diagonal lines, yellow, black, and lightning bolts.

And an answer to every employee’s prayers is the inclusion of a nap room. Yep, a nap room for those afternoon siestas we all crave but never get.
