The Light-Hearted, Modern Rocking Chair Named Martha

Every once in a while there’s a project that’s worth revisiting, rethinking and revamping. That’s what designer Roberto Lazzeroni did with the Martha armchair, and it evolved into a lighthearted rocking chair version for Poltrona Frau’s 2020 Collection. Soft, rounded forms and a saddle leather shell make for relaxed comfort and modern lightness in the Martha Rocking Chair. While the exterior of the shell is covered in leather, the interior and removable seat cushion can be covered in Pelle Frau leather or fabric. Contrasting hand-stitching emphasizes the visual contrast between materials that cover the furniture piece. Its dynamic rocking base is curved solid ash, a stunning piece of wood craftsmanship.

Like the armchair, the Martha rocking chair is also 100% FSC certified, made using raw materials from correctly managed forests that are respectful of environmental sustainability. These standards are in line with Poltrona Frau’s, as they seek to manufacture products that are not only beautiful, but made with respect for human and natural resources.
